It's been an interesting journey, so far. When I first joined DA, I was still feeling my way around as a photographer, although, frankly, I didn't realize it. I thought I pretty much knew it all. Not any more. The more I learn, the more I don't know.
Now that I depend on photography to keep a roof over our heads, it's taken on a whole new dynamic. There's an urgency that was lacking before, and I miss photography being my escape from the silliness of the rest of my life. Now it emphatically is my life. What I show here is now my escape. I love the photography of women. The diverse personalities who come into my studio keep me as engaged as the physical aspect does.
I also am intrigued by the development of new techniques, new ways to see, new ways to present an image. I'm exploring aspects of post production that, until now, seemed to arcane or too labor intensive that now seem necessary.
Bringing all the aspects of photography together with all the aspects of the female form is a challenge that keeps me loving the art of photography.
